Bill Durnan & Turk Broda - Montreal Canadiens vs. Toronto Maple Leafs History in Photographs Vertical *Oversized

A beautifully crafted One of One Signature Cut Card honouring Bill Durnan and Turk Broda, two Hockey Hall of Fame goaltenders who stood between the pipes for two of hockey's most storied franchises. Their careers became closely connected to the historic rivalry between the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs.

The rivalry reached a landmark moment in the 1947 Stanley Cup Final, when Montreal and Toronto met for the first time in a Stanley Cup Final. The series opened on April 8, 1947, and concluded on April 19, 1947, when the Maple Leafs defeated the Canadiens 2Ð1 in Game 6 at Maple Leaf Gardens to capture the Stanley Cup in six games. Bill Durnan was in goal for Montreal, while Turk Broda backstopped Toronto.

Durnan won two Stanley Cups and six Vezina Trophies with Montreal. Broda won five Stanley Cups with Toronto. Durnan passed away on October 31, 1972, at age 56, while Broda passed away on October 17, 1972, at age 58.
